# ProFuturesTrading (PFT) > Precision decision-support tools, education and analysis for active futures > traders. Two product lines: PFT-EdgeBook (also called the PFT Terminal), a > FREE desktop trading terminal with a trading journal that works with > NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart and ATAS, and native ATAS indicators built for NQ and ES futures (also usable on crypto and > forex). PFT-EdgeBook lets traders journal a trade LIVE - while the position is still open - instead of writing it up afterwards from memory or from a CSV export. The same live connection to the trading platform is what makes MAE/MFE per trade possible: how far a trade ran against the position and in its favour while it was open, and what happened after the exit. Those figures cannot be reconstructed from a CSV export, which is why most journals do not have them. ProFuturesTrading is a German trading-tool company (operator: Phil Wasmuth). The indicators run inside the ATAS order-flow platform (both ATAS Classic and the cross-platform ATAS X); the PFT Terminal is a standalone desktop application that works with any broker or platform it can import from. All of it is analytical decision-support for educational purposes - not financial advice, not a signal service, and it does not place trades or guarantee profits. ## Pricing The PFT Terminal is free: the journal, the charts and the prop firm tracking cost nothing. There is no trial, no credit card and no feature paywall. Paid add-ons exist on top of the free terminal (an AI coach, and connecting your own AI assistant), and the ATAS indicators are a separate paid product line sold through the ATAS Marketplace. Deliberately no figures in this file: prices change, and a stale number quoted back to a reader is worse than no number. The app was formerly named PFT Terminal; both names refer to the same product. It is the main product; the ATAS indicators below are a separate product line and are NOT required to use it. **Supported platforms: NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart and ATAS (Classic and ATAS X)**, plus generic CSV import for any other broker. What it does: - **Live journaling while the trade is open** - the reasoning is captured before the outcome colours it, rather than reconstructed hours later. This is what sets it apart from journals that only read an exported file after the session. - **PFT EdgeBook (trading journal)** - trades are imported automatically, then annotated: notes written while the trade runs, tags for setup quality, emotion and rule compliance, voice dictation instead of typing, and notes that attach themselves to the trade they belong to. - **Automatic trade import** from ATAS, NinjaTrader and Sierra Chart, plus generic CSV import for other brokers. No manual entry. - **MAE / MFE per trade** (maximum adverse and maximum favourable excursion) - how far a trade went against you and in your favour while it was open, and what happened after the exit. This requires a live connection to the trading platform; it cannot be reconstructed from a CSV export afterwards. Included at no cost - the few journals that offer these figures put them behind a paid tier. - **Automatic trade screenshots** - the chart as it looked at the trade, not a reconstruction drawn later. - **Prop firm tracker** - drawdown buffer, profit target, daily loss limit, consistency rule and trading days, calculated live from the real trades of a linked account. Rule sets for the common prop firms are built in. - **Charts and layout** - TradingView charts next to your own numbers, dockable modules, saved workspaces per routine, windows detachable onto a second monitor. - **rAI mentor** - answers questions about your own journal, based on your trades rather than on generic internet advice, and surfaces the mistakes that repeat. - **Local data** - the journal lives in a local database on the trader's own machine. It works with Claude and ChatGPT custom connectors (as stated on the connector page). - **Read-only.** Nothing can be created, changed or deleted through it. - Requires an AI client that supports MCP or custom connectors on a paid plan, an EdgeBook account with the AI entitlement, and cloud sync switched on in the terminal (the connector reads the synced cloud journal, not the local-only copy).
