EdgeBook AI Connector

The EdgeBook AI Connector lets an AI assistant of your choice — such as Claude or ChatGPT — read your own trading journal so it can help you review trades, spot leaks and check your rules. It exposes read-only tools over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Nothing can be created, changed or deleted through the connector.

Requirements

• An AI client that supports MCP / custom connectors on a paid plan (e.g. Claude or ChatGPT).
• An active EdgeBook account with the AI entitlement enabled.
• Cloud sync enabled in the PFT Terminal — the connector reads your synced cloud journal.

How to connect

Claude (claude.ai / Desktop). Open Settings → Connectors→ “Add custom connector”, paste the connector URL above (name it e.g. “PFT EdgeBook”), then sign in with your PFT account and approve the read-only access. Claude shows a standard “external connector” notice — this is normal for any custom connector; confirm once.

ChatGPT (Developer Mode). Enable Developer Mode once under Settings → Connectors → Advanced, choose “Add connector”, paste the connector URL, sign in with your PFT account and approve access. The connector then appears as “PFT EdgeBook” in the chat.

Other clients (Mistral Le Chat, Cursor, VS Code and more) support custom connectors too — the same URL and sign-in apply everywhere.

What your AI can read

• Trades— instrument, entry/exit, size, direction, P&L, fees, R-multiple, duration, tags.
• Statistics— win rate, gross/net P&L, profit factor, average win/loss, best/worst.
• Journal & voice — daily journal, pre-plan, during-day notes and voice notes.
• Playbook — your strategies, setups, rules and criteria, for rule-compliance checks against your trades.
• Prop & broker accounts — firm, phase, rules, balance and transactions. Broker account numbers are masked (e.g. ****1234).
• Trade detail — full detail for one trade, including notes, executions, MFE/MAE, stop/target and any chart screenshots (as vision content).

Security & Privacy

• Read-only. The connector can only read your data — it cannot change or delete anything.
• Your data only. Every request is bound to your login; you only ever see your own rows (database Row-Level Security), and the connector never uses a shared admin key.
• No sensitive raw data. Account numbers are masked; no internal IDs or tokens are returned.
• OAuth sign-in. No API keys are copied into the AI — you sign in with your PFT account and can revoke access at any time. Access tokens are never exposed to the AI model.
• “Bring your own AI”.Data you request flows to the AI provider you chose (Anthropic / OpenAI) to answer you, under that provider's terms. Journal data is stored in the EU (Supabase, Frankfurt); images in encrypted EU object storage (Cloudflare R2). See our Privacy Policy.
